Work is under way on an updated Facility Master Plan that will provide a roadmap for future investments in our buildings and grounds. This plan will emphasize all facility requirements with considerable focus on Glenbard’s refreshed common core curriculum vision. We are excited about how the Facility Master Plan will shape the learning environment of the future and the opportunities it will provide to our students.
A steering committee has been formed to set the vision, identify and monitor project goals, establish priorities and evaluate options. The steering committee includes Board of Education members, administrators, teachers, students and parents from throughout the school district.
The steering committee met on May 18. Click on the links below to review the materials discussed at the meeting, including feedback that focus groups have provided regarding the Facility Master Plan.
Focus groups have been created in the areas of:
- Facilities/food service
- Enrichment and pupil personnel services
These focus groups are evaluating facilities and identifying facility needs. They will recommend standards and report to the steering committee. The focus groups’ minutes are available for your review by clicking on the links below.
The last facility master plan for District 87 dates back to 2002. That plan will provide a strong basis for the updated master plan.
