Performance based music classes study, rehearse, and perform music in multiple genres in group and individual settings. Improved individual music literacy and critical musical thinking are emphasized through solo and large ensemble performance. Students learn to think about and listen to music critically in order to enhance their own aesthetic experiences as well as those of other performers and audience members.
