Course Description:
Performance based music classes study, rehearse, and perform music in multiple genres in group and individual settings.  Improved individual music literacy and critical musical thinking are emphasized through solo and large ensemble performance.  Students learn to think about and listen to music critically in order to enhance their own aesthetic experiences as well as those of other performers and audience members.

Holiday Concert
Winter Concert
Spring Concert
Solo & Ensemble Concert

Performance Assessment:
Students are required to perform music assessments throughout various times of the concert cycle. The areas of assessment include sound production, musicality, music literacy, rehearsal skills, ensemble skills, ensemble skills, and music aesthetics. Emphasis is on both achievement and growth in the areas listed throughout the year. Student data will be collected through various assessments and feedback will be provided in areas of strengths and opportunities for growth.
