SPANISH 1

Course Description:

Spanish 1 introduces the students to the language with an emphasis on reading, writing, speaking and understanding basic Spanish. This is accomplished by use of audio, video and written practices in the language lab. The fundamentals of grammar and communication are introduced, and an appreciation of Spanish-speaking people and their cultures is promoted.  Students will also read a short book at the end of this year.  This course is designed for students with no prior experience in Spanish language instruction.
