Administrative Procedure – Grading System
Grade Reports
A. Student grade reports shall be issued at the end of each quarter.
B. A semester grade report shall be issued at the end of each semester and entered in the student’s
permanent record. It is recommended that the semester grade represent a weighted composite of
the two quarter grades and a final examination, if given, in the following percentages:
1st quarter - 40%
2nd quarter - 40%
Final examination - 20%
If no final examination is given, each quarter shall count 50%.
Grades
A. WM Withdraw Medical (no credit)
WF Withdrawal Failing (no credit)
WP Withdrawal Passing (no credit)
AUD Audit (no credit)
REV Review (no credit) (averaged into GPA)
5 Excellent
4 Above average
3 Average
2 Below average
1 Failure
INC Incomplete
NC No grade – no credit
P Pass (credit-not in G.P.A.) i.e. Foreign School Grades, Alternative, Credit Recovery,
Modified Special Education and ELL grades.)
B. Credit will be awarded for grades 2 through 5 and “P”.
