Instruction
Credit For Proficiency
Students wishing to take proficiency examinations shall submit a parental permission form and
contact the high school guidance counselor at least one month before the scheduled test date. The
Building Principal will notify all eligible students of the date or dates of the tests.
Driver’s Education
The District may administer proficiency examinations for the practice driving phase of the driver
education course at any time after a student has completed 3 hours of practice driving under direct
individual instruction. The proficiency examination given must:
1. Be the same as the examination given after the completion of six hours of practice
driving; and
2. Include an assessment of each student’s ability to make proper decisions in varying levels
of traffic and to execute those decisions in a smooth, safe and efficient manner.
