To whom it may concern:
______________________ recently transferred into our School District. Please send us copies of all
of ______________’s school student records, both permanent and temporary.
Illinois law requires that you send these records to us within 10 calendar days:
When a new student applies for admission to a school and does not present his
school student record, such school may notify the school or school district last
attended by such student, requesting that the student’s school student record be
copied and sent to it; such request shall be honored within 10 days after it is
received. 105 ILCS 10/8.1(b).
