Educational Support Personnel

Drug and Alcohol Testing For School Bus and Commercial Vehicle Drivers

The District shall adhere to federal law and regulations requiring a drug and alcohol-testing program
for school bus and commercial vehicle drivers.

This program shall comply with the requirements of the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 49 § 382
et seq. The Superintendent or designee shall adopt and enact regulations consistent with the federal
regulations, defining the circumstances and procedures for the testing.

This policy shall not be implemented, and no administrative procedures will be needed, until it is
reasonably foreseeable that the District will hire staff for a position(s) requiring a commercial driver’s
license.
