Students
Home Schooling
When the administration becomes aware of a child of compulsory school attendance age who resides within the boundaries of the District and who is reportedly being schooled at home, this fact shall be reported to the Regional Superintendent of Schools.
Award of Credits
A student who, after receiving instruction in a home or a non-graded system, enrolls in the District on a full-time basis may be awarded academic credits from the District provided the student demonstrates appropriate academic proficiency to the school administration. The administration shall establish reasonable procedures to evaluate whether a student has obtained an appropriate level of academic proficiency so as to be entitled to an award of academic credits. No grade shall be assigned for any such credits awarded and the official school transcript shall indicate when credits are awarded for home schooling.
