Community Relations

Administrative Procedure – Community School Visitation

Visitation Procedures

A. All visitors shall report to the Main Office, state the nature of their business, and receive
permission to be on the school property.

B. Approval to visit the school shall be contingent on the following criteria:

        1. The purpose of the visit must be consistent with the student welfare and the purpose of the
            District.

        2. The visitation must be of benefit to the students.

        3. The visitation must not result in damage or physical danger to the District’s property,
            students and/or staff.

C. Individuals approved to visit the school shall be issued a “visitor’s pass”.

D. So that community visitations do not impede the educational process, the Building Principal may
specify additional rules for visitors in the building. Visiting privileges may be revoked by the
Building Principal if he/she believes the visit will not be in the best interest of the school.

Supervision of Visitors

Any person on school property who has not registered with the Main Office is illegally on school
property and will be asked for proper identification or to leave the school grounds. If the visitor
refuses to leave the school grounds or creates any disturbance, the Building Principal or designee has
the authority to request aid from the local law enforcement agency.
