Community Relations
Policy on Trespassing
All administrative employees, including but not limited to, the Superintendent, Principals, Assistant
Principals, and Deans of Students are authorized to require any person to leave school property
immediately or to prohibit any such person from coming on school property whenever the person:
1. is, or has recently been, disruptive to any school program;
2. is, or has recently been, threatening or abusive to any student, employee or school official;
3. refuses, or has recently refused, to follow the reasonable directive of any school employee or
school official; or
4. is, or has recently been, in an area of school grounds or a school building which is closed to
the person.
Administrators and Deans in such circumstances are further authorized to give written and/or verbal
trespass notices, to seek law enforcement assistance to enforce any such notice and to sign, file and
pursue complaints for prosecution for trespassing.
In the absence of an administrator, a certified staff person or building foreman may exercise the
authority granted in this policy to administrative employees.
