COVID-19 vaccination clinics in our area

The following are COVID-19 vaccination opportunities in our area. We will update the information as new vaccination opportunities become available.

COVID-19 vaccines are available through the Kane County Health Department at this link. Vaccine clinics are in Aurora, Batavia and Elgin. Registration for an appointment is required.

Upcoming vaccination clinics:

July 30: Free vaccination clinics at our schools
Our high schools will host a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic in their parking lot. These are walk-up clinics presented by the Illinois Department of Public Health, and community members do not need to sign up for an appointment. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is authorized for people age 12 and older. Please see the dates and times below for each school.

Glenbard South: Friday, July 30, from 8 a.m. to noon in main parking lot
Glenbard West: Friday, July 30, from noon to 4 p.m. in staff parking lot off Ellyn Road

Ongoing:  DuPage Care Van traveling throughout the county
The DuPage County Health Department’s Care Van provides free COVID-19 vaccinations in communities throughout DuPage. The clinic is open to individuals 12 years or older and offers the Pfizer or Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Future Care Van dates and locations will be posted at this page each week.

Ongoing:  COVID-19 vaccine walk-in available through health department, retailers
COVID-19 vaccine walk-ins are available at local retailers and the DuPage Health Department vaccination clinic in Wheaton.  Beginning July 19, 2021, COVID-19 vaccinations will be available on a walk-in basis at the Health Department’s Central Public Health Center at 111 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton. The clinic will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

Many retailers also offer walk-in COVID-19 vaccines, subject to availability. Check your local Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart and Target. 

Ongoing:  Health department partners with DuPage Medical Group for vaccines for 12 & older
The DuPage County Health Department has partnered with DuPage Medical Group to expand COVID-19 vaccinations to youth age 12 and older and any family member who wishes to receive a vaccine, even if they are not a DuPage Medical Group patient. Schedule an appointment at this link.
