Feucht named superintendent in Lake Park Dist. 108

Jeff Feucht, assistant superintendent for educational services, has been named superintendent in Lake Park School District 108, effective July 1. The District 108 Board of Education approved his appointment on Jan. 8. Feucht will replace retiring District 108 Superintendent Lynn Panega.

“I am indebted to Glenbard’s teacher leaders and administrators from whom I have learned so much over the past decade,” Feucht said. “I am so proud of the work I have been able to be a part of this team accomplishing and I look forward to working hard between now and July 1 to ensure a transition that sustains our momentum.”

Superintendent David Larson said, “I am impressed with Dr. Feucht’s driving commitment to excellence and his quest for educational opportunities for all of our students. Through his vast knowledge, strong work ethic and collegial collaboration, he has had a significant positive impact on our educational program. Among his many achievements:

  • Serving as project lead for our professional development program
  • Strengthening and deepening our work for Advanced Placement access for all students
  • Collaborating with educators in our sender districts to enhance articulation
  • Initiating our free SAT Prep program for all juniors

I am proud of Dr. Feucht as he advances in his career; however, he will be missed in Glenbard.”

Feucht has served as assistant superintendent for educational services since 2012. He has led the instructional leadership team in work that has resulted in Glenbard being recognized nationally for providing sustained professional growth programs for its teachers and closing student enrollment gaps in Advanced Placement courses by race and income. He has also led the implementation of innovative shifts in course offerings and instructional technology over the course of his tenure. Prior to his position as assistant superintendent, he served as assistant principal for instruction at Glenbard West High School from 2009-2012.
