GPS 9/20 program to provide insight into smartphone generation

The Glenbard Parent Series: (GPS) Navigating Healthy Families will present iGen: Why Today’s Hyper Connected Kids are Growing Up Less Happy and Unprepared for Adulthood with Jean Twenge at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the College of DuPage Student Resource Center in Glen Ellyn.

Twenge draws from nationally representative surveys of 11 million young people to uncover how parents/caregivers can harness the positive trends of iGen while mitigating negative outcomes. She helps students better understand how the technological shift of smartphones has affected their mental health and explains how to find a balance with technology to increase health and happiness.

Students are encouraged to attend. Please park in the College of DuPage Fawell C lot and enter through the north entrance of the Student Resource Center (SRC.)
