Health department encourages COVID-19 vaccinations

The DuPage County Health Department urges those who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 to get vaccinated as soon as possible. The COVID-19 vaccines are extremely effective at preventing serious illness, hospitalization, and death – even from the Delta variant, according to the health department.

Important note: under the guidance as of Aug. 25, when someone is fully vaccinated and not showing symptoms, they are not required to quarantine.

Options to get a COVID-19 vaccine:

  • Visit vaccines.gov to find a nearby vaccine provider
  • The health department’s community vaccination clinic in Wheaton offers COVID-19 vaccines from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. For details, visit dupagehealth.org/covid19vaccineclinic.
  • Health department’s Care Van mobile clinic provides free COVID-19 vaccinations directly to DuPage County communities. To view this week’s schedule, visit dupagehealth.org/covid19vaccine.
  • Any DuPage County residents who are homebound or who cannot safely leave their home to visit a vaccination clinic are eligible to be vaccinated through the health department’s homebound vaccination program and should register at this link or call 630-682-7400 for assistance.
