GPS speaker to discuss maximizing productivity, balancing life with technology
The GPS Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will host leadership consultant and bestselling author Amy Blankson in a presentation titled Digital Thriving: Technology and the Future of Happiness in a Hyperconnected World at noon and 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, via Zoom. Blankson will discuss a research-based way to discover what brings people happiness online and offline. She will offer guidance on recent transformations in the digital arena, including the introduction of generative AI, and offer a fresh perspective on fending off digital distractions while maintaining balance. Blankson will present ways to avoid burnout and communication overload in our hyper-connected world. Participants will learn skills to maximize productivity and create realistic tech-life boundaries.

Continuing professional development units are available for this program.

Blankson is the CEO of Fearless Positivity, cofounder of the Digital Wellness Institute and bestselling author of two books: “The Future of Happiness: 5 Modern Strategies for Balancing Productivity and Well-Being in the Digital Era” and “The Digital Wellness Playbook.”

Fundraiser to support North Theatre
The Glenbard North Theatre Boosters will host a fundraiser at Portillo’s, 235 North Avenue in Glendale Heights on Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 5-8 p.m. Show the flier at checkout and 20% of sales will benefit North Theatre.
