GPS to present roadmap to paying for college

Tuition prices at state and selective private colleges have increased, and the financial aid systems that govern discounts and scholarships at schools vary widely. Does paying an extra $50,000 or $150,000 for one school over another make sense? Is it better to select a smaller or larger size school?
Families need strategies to guide meaningful conversations on paying for college. Participants will hear questions that families might not know to ask or are afraid to discuss. Lieber will highlight the data and summarize the research, about what matters and what doesn’t, as he pulls back the curtain on how schools set their prices.
Lieber has worked in personal finance reporting for more than 15 years. He has been the Your Money columnist for The New York Times since 2008. He also wrote the “Green Thumb” personal finance column for The Wall Street Journal and was part of the startup team at the paper’s Personal Journal section.
